Performance of Agricultural Cooperative Leaders of Extension Activities and Its Relationship with Some Variables in Sharkia Governorate

The research aimed to identify: degree of local agricultural cooperative leader's performance of extension activities, the personal characteristics of their, and determine the relationship between the total degree of their performance of extension activities and the independent variables studied. The research was conducted in Sharkia Governorate, which has the largest number of members of the boards of directors of agricultural cooperative societies, which are (2,642) members. The Krejci and Morgan equation was used to determine the size of the sample, which amounted to (340) respondents. Data were collected by a questionnaire during August, October (2022). Frequencies, percentages, mean, range, standard deviation, Pearson's simple correlation coefficient, Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, were used to present and analysis study data . 
The main results of the research are: less than half of respondents (48.2%) had a medium performance degree, and a third of respondents (33%) had a low performance degree, while less than a quarter of respondents  (18.8%) of respondents had a high performance degree. There is  a significant relationship at a significant level of (0.01), between the total degree of  the respondents' performance of the extension activities and both Number of years of education, degree of orientation towards extension work, degree of need for training, motivation toward achievement, exposure to sources of information, orientation towards modernization, There is also a significant relationship at a significant level of (0.05) between the total degree of the respondents' performance of the extension activities and both age, level of information of cooperative leaders about some extension concepts .
