The role of local extension leaders in awareness farmers about technical recommendations for crop wheat on terraces in Minia Governorate

This research aimed to identify the performance of the current role of local extension leaders in awarenessthe farmers about Technical recommendations for crop wheat on terraces. determining the relationship between the total degree to performance of role the leaders' respondents in awareness the farmers about Technical recommendations for crop wheat on terraces as a dependent variable and their independent variables studied.Identify appropriate sources of agricultural information inawareness thefarmers about the technical recommendations for crop wheat on terraces. finally. Identifying the problems which facing the respondents in awarenessthe farmers about the technical recommendations for crop wheat on terraces.
The research was conducted in Minya Governorate. where the four largest centers were selected in terms of farming area with crop wheat on terraces. and three villages were selected from each center according to the same previous criterion. The research was conducted in two stages; the first stage.to determine the population of research with sociometric method. which get to 120 leaders . the second stage. to determine the sample size which get to 92 respondents.
The questionnaire used with the personal interview to collected the data after conducting initial tests on it. The data was collected during of February and March 2023. Frequencies. arithmetic mean. standard deviation. weighted average. and Pearson’s simple correlation were used in analyzing the data.
 The most important results were the following:
1- 55.43%. 58.7%. 45.65%. 43.48%. 60.87%.51.09%in order, of the respondents had a high degree in performing their role of communication,their role in identifyingagricultural problems,their role in mobilizing resources and capabilities, theirplanningrole and finally their evaluativerole in order,in awareness the farmers about the technical recommendations for crop wheat on terraces.

The sources of appropriate agricultural information in awareness the farmers about the technical recommendations for crop wheat on terraces are extension fields. extension seminars. field visits. field and harvest days. and field schools.
the problems which facing the respondents in awareness the farmers about the technical recommendations for crop wheat on terraces are the dispensing of fertilizers only to the mullahs. the high prices of pesticides needed to combat weeds and pests in wheat. the high prices of chemical fertilizers needed for the crop wheat. the high prices of seeds. the high costs of harvesting and threshing the crop.
