This research aimed to identify the requirements for the development of Lake Nasser in Aswan Governorate. Field data was collected through a personal interview questionnaire from March to May 2023, for a simple random sample of fishermen amounting to 341 fishermen of the total number of 3000 fishermen with a rate of 11.4% according to the Cochrane equation. Frequencies, percentages, actual range, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and relative weight were used as statistical tools to analyze the data through the SPSS program. The results showed the following:
Decrease in fish production in Lake Nasser compared to its vast area.
The high relative weight of the production and service requirements, with an arithmetic average of 79.8% and 91.3%, respectively, and that the relative importance of the total requirements was of great importance according to the opinions of 80.7% of the respondents.
The high relative weight of most of the problems that hinder the development of Lake Nasser, and the proposal to “Tightening security control over the lake” came first, according to the opinions of 52.5% of the respondents.
